| Here are the webcomics I read on a regular basis - please download them from the site, and don't leech. If you'd like your site linked to, send me an e-mail and I'll consider it. Links to That I Am are at the bottom. |
| | |
 | | Questionable Content - Just about one of my most favorite comics, Jeph Jaques has both awesome writing and great artwork. Totally worth not sleeping to read this. Updates:M-T-W-TH-F |
| | |
 | | Wapsi Square - There are going to be a lot of these where I say "I love the artwork in this!" (for an example, see above), and Wapsi Square is absolutely no exception. This comic is so expressive that it's difficult NOT to read. The ongoing plotline isn't bad, either. Updates:M-T-W-TH-F |
| | |
 | | The Devil's Panties - I met Jennie at the San Diego Comic Con of '06, and I have to say that she is as awesome as she looks in her comic. This is one of the few "journal' sort of comics that I've actually enjoyed thoroughly enough to stay a religious reader. Updates:M-T-W-TH-F |
| | |
 | | PVP - Scott Kurtz is one of the big-league hitters of webcomics. His strip has been running for years now, and his sense of humor rarely fails me, as immature as it can be at times. Woot fart jokes! Updates:M-T-W-TH-F-SAT-SUN |
| | |
 | | Jack - This is one of the only "furry" webcomics I have even bothered to look at, and believe me it's worth it. The art is definitely his own, and the subject material is rarely suitable for little children, sensitive parents or the workplace. It's a comic about hell, people. What did you think? Updates:M-W-F |
| | |
 | | Penny Arcade - Ahh, the mecha of webcomics. Gabe and Tycho were - and the same goes for most webcomic artists I've spoken with - my guides into the world of webcomics. Gabe's art never fails to impress me, and Tycho's literate musings have always managed to make me chuckle. Awesome. Updates:M-W-F |
| | |
 | | Penny And Aggie - Penny and Aggie is sort of one of those comics I just can't put down. You may like it or you might not. As of late, I've become more impressed with the art and less so with the writing, and yet it's on this list, so I read it weekley. Updates:M-W-F |
| | |
 | | Apple Geeks - Me? I'm a Windows person through and through. Still, when I say that Hawk's artwork is stunning, I'm lying. I meant to say compltetely and stupefyingly incredible! What he calls 'sketches' could only flow from my pencil tip if I put grueling years into each pinpoint of awesomeness and then had him trace over it. It's just that good. Updates:M-TH |
| | |
 | | Awkward Zombie - This girl makes me want to cry. Her name is Katie. I love her cartoony artstyle, and her writing I can only compare to Tycho from Penny Arcade. Also, she's fifteen. Everybody say "Hi Katie...*sob*"! Updates:Once a week |
| | |
 | | Shortpacked - David Willis gives brings us the antics of toy store employees with his comic. I never thought I'd get into a comic that didn't appeal to my recreational needs, and I will admit that collecting toys doesn't amuse me as much as it does him, but it's still one of those I read non-stop. Updates:M-W-F |
| | |
 | | Girls With Slingshots - Danielle Corsetto is an amazingly talented artist whose comic is very well writen and produced. She's definitely made me think about starting up a new B&W comic, just to see if I can get as good as she is. Her characters are lovably tomboyish and lots of fun to just read. Plus, there's a cactus. Updates:M-W-F |
| | |
 | | Least I Could Do - Ryan Sohmer comes across as incredibly strong willed, and his comic often times errs on the side of male chauvanism. Still, through the heavy clouds of libido lining his writing, he manages to make his characters sound like genuinely good people. His blatant humor is great, and LICD is one of the first comics I pop up in the morning. Updates:M-T-W-TH-F-SAT-SUN |
| | |
 | | Looking For Group - This beauty is another work of Ryan Sohmer and Lar Desouza. This duo, who produces Least I Could Do (right above), incoorporates their special brand of humor into an ongoing plot set in what could only be an MMORPG setting. Lar's artwork has always kept me fascinated, and his clean style leaves nothing to want. A beauty, she is. Updates:M-TH |
| | |
 | | Comedity - I love Garth's drawing style almost as much as I drool over Hawk's (Apple Geeks), which is quantifiable as "quite a lot". In my own sketching, I've tried to emulate his facial features and particular style, but to no avail. Definitely an eye pleaser, and his writing is far from lacking as well. Updates:M |
| | |
 | | Commissioned - Ah, the benevelent "O". What can I say? I'm not a hardcore tabletop gamer, but I can understand his humor flawlessley, and it usually gives me a chuckle. Artwise, his pencil sketches inspired a few of my own along similar lines. Commissioned is definitely one of my favorites. Updates:M-T-W-TH-F-SAT-SUN |
| | |
 | | Ctrl Alt Del - The last of the three big-leaguers in webcomics (PVP and Penny Arcade making the other two), at least in my mind, Tim Buckley has been a huge influence on my own sense of humor. Yet another gaming comic, Ctrl Alt Del r0x0rz... seriously, guys. Rox. 0rz. Updates:M-W-F |
| | |
 | | Sequential Art - Oh man, this comic... I'm a newby to the site, but I read through this comic's entire archives in one night (made for a horrible essay the next day), and I absolutely love the art style. His characters are so fluid, and his facial features rule. Yes. Some of the characters are animals. Get over it. It's an awesome comic. Updates:M-W-F? |
| | |
 | | VG Cats - Scott Ransoomair is another big influence on my humor. His over-the-top style and video game humor are great when he updates. Updates:M? |
| | |
 | | Butternut Squash - Ramon and Rob hold together an awesome webcomic here. You may remember me doing a strip which featured a comatose Rob and his dog. Ramon is actually one of the only webcomic artists that answered me back when I e-mailed him asking for advice on inking or shading. Seriously, really nice guy, and the comic is just expertly drawn. Updates:TH |
| | |
 | | Misfile - Aw, okay, so yeah it's a Manga of sorts. One of the few on this list. The story line for this one is really funny, though, and his drawing style is great, especially with cars! Updates:M-T-W-TH-F |
| | |
 | | Three Panel Soul - Anyone remember Machall? Ian McConville is the only webcomic artist I know of who can give Hawk of Apple Geeks a run for his money in the art department. His old site, MacHall, went down for some reason or other, but he and MacHall's writer, Matt Boyd, set up this comic. So far, I'm very impressed with the tablet work displayed here. As webcomic duos go, they're my favorite. Updates:F? |
| | |
 | | Fan Boys - I'm new to this comic as well, but going through the archives made me laugh out loud at least twice, which is awesome. Video-game related, nicely colored, not much more to say. Read it! Updates:M? |
| | |
 | | El Goonish Shive - Man, this comic is wierd! Lots of gender changing here, and I'm not talking operations, I'm talking science and lazers and aliens and squirels and pandemonium all around! It's tre cool, though, so I suggest you check it out. Definitely worth your eye energy. Updates:T-TH |
| | |
 | | Home on the Strange - I'm not exactly sure where this comic fits in. It's a little bit tabletop RPG, little bit rabid 'possums chewing on people. Go see if you like it. Updates:M-W-F |
| | |
 | | Last Blood - Zombies AND Vampires?!? No way! Yes way, my friend, and in full comic-book pages each day! Awesome. Updates:M-T-W-TH-F |
| | |
 | | Badass Muthas - Don't be fooled by the title, folks, this comic IS entirely bravado. I can't get enough of his style, though. It's so dynamic and full of action! Heck yes! UNGH! Updates:F |
| | |
 | | Exterminatus Now - I was kind of thrown by the Sonic-style characters here, but in the end I really ended up liking it much more than I thought. The humor is amazing, as only the british can provide. Updates:F |
| | |
 | | Lowroad75 - I liked the earlier versions of this comic more than the newest ones, but the humor is still great (like only... Australians can provide? I guess?) and the art style took a pretty cool approach with the sepia tones. Yes, and there are boobies. *sigh*. Get over it. Updates:F |
| | |
 | | Special School - By far, this is one of my favorite super hero webcomics (yes, there are more out there!) There's not a whole lot to say, other than go read it if you're into the super-powered thing! It makes me laugh all the time. Updates:M-W-F |
| | |
 | | No Pink Ponies - Admittedly, updates have been slow as of late. This is the second Manga-esque comic in this list, and it has definitely held its weight to stay here. As a comic lover, he's managed to keep me completely entertained and asking, like all of his fans, for more. Updates:Whenever he feels like it. |
| | |
 | | Goblins - If you're into tabletop role playing, this is definitely the comic for you. It's the story of life in an RPG through the eyes of goblins, who are supposed to be the bad guys but in reality really aren't all that evil. It's funny, and the art is consistent, so check it out! Updates:F |
| | |

| | Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal - This is one of the most bizzarre, off the wall comics with the biggest aspirations to offend that I've ever seen, and I love it. Almost daily, it manages to make me say "wtf??!?!" And that, friends, is awesome. Updates:M-T-W-TH-F-SAT-SUN |
| | |

| | Extra Life - Scott Johnson strikes me as an awesome cartoonist with the sense of humor we all wish we had as kids, except in an older man's body. It's fun to watch him draw on You Tube (look up "Diary of a cartoonist"), and I usually check his site every day for some sort of useless fact about the world. His newspost is constantly updating, so go check it out! Updates:M-W-F |
| | |

| | Better You Than Me - Back when I frequented the Biscuitpress forums, I met Lee, who was already a "Biscuiteer" and who immediately linked That I Am to his site. I think his art style is way expressive and definitely worth looking at. Here's to you, Lee. Updates:M-W-F? |
